Ronas Hill, Shetland

Ronas Hill is the highest summit in the Shetland Isles, a bare dome of sub-arctic tundra. There is a chambered cairn by the summit. On this occasion the views were obscured by low cloud.

*walked from the bottom of the road rather than starting from the small car park at the end of the track. Don’t believe the sign saying the road isn’t suitable, the road has been repaired and this will save you a long drag up the road/track.
