A trip over to Skye yesterday, which is always a nice place to visit. The bonus was we caught up with the long-staying Lesser Yellowlegs in Broadford Bay on our way through Skye. These North American birds typically breed in open woods and meadows interspersed with bog and marsh, but can be found in inter-tidal zones and flooded fields during migration. Each year a few individuals get lost or blown off course during migration and turn up in the UK and Ireland.
