Saw some interesting behaviour today. This blue tit was clearly nest prospecting and had decided to utilise this house martin next on the side of a building. I have seen house sparrows take over house martin nests before but this was my first experience of a blue tit doing so. I would like to be a fly on the wall when the house martins return this summer and find a family of blue tits squatting in their nest.
